Terms of Use

Agreement

These terms are between you and Digital Infinity Group LLC ("we", "us") and cover your use of RoomForGems. The app store's own terms (Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or Google Play's Terms of Service) also apply.

On Android the app needs Android 11 or newer.

Price and payment

Scanning is free, and you can free up to 1 GB without paying. A single in-app purchase ($9.99 in the US; the store shows your local price) unlocks the full app. There is no subscription and no trial that turns into a charge.

Apple or Google takes the payment, and refunds are handled through them under their policies. If a purchase is refunded, the unlock is removed.

What the unlock covers

The unlock covers all current features and updates we release for as long as we offer the app on your platform. If we stop supporting the app, we will say so in the app and on this site first. If a store removes the app, copies already installed keep working for as long as your phone and its operating system support them.

Right of withdrawal (EU and UK)

The unlock is digital content supplied immediately. The store's checkout and the purchase screen in the app are where you are asked to agree that delivery starts straight away, and that you then lose the 14-day right to withdraw. Where the law gives you a right that cannot be waived, that right stays. Apple's and Google's refund processes still apply.

Deleting photos

The app only suggests what to delete. Nothing is deleted without your confirmation in your phone's own dialog, and you can review every item first. Your phone keeps deleted items for about 30 days (some gallery apps differ), in Recently Deleted on iPhone or the trash on Android, so you can change your mind.

On iPhone, if iCloud Photos is on, deleting here also deletes from iCloud and your other devices.

Please keep a backup of anything you can't afford to lose.

What the app measures on your phone

To find copies and similar shots the app measures your photos on your phone. This includes whether a face is in focus with eyes open, and reading text on pictures. None of this leaves your phone.

Warranty and liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PHOTOS OR VIDEOS, LOST DATA, OR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS. THIS DOES NOT LIMIT LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY, FRAUD OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY RIGHT YOU HAVE BY LAW THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHTS FOR DEFECTIVE DIGITAL CONTENT IN THE EU AND UK. Otherwise our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app.

The app's suggestions can be wrong. Photos and videos you delete are your responsibility, so check what you choose and keep a backup.

Export and sanctions

You may not use the app if you are in a country or on a list that United States law bars us from serving, and you must follow the export and sanctions laws that apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will change the date at the top and tell you in the app or on this site.

Moving the app to another company

We may transfer these terms and your purchase to an affiliate or successor, for example if the app moves to another company in our group. If we do, your unlock and your right to restore it stay the same, and we will tell you.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without affecting the consumer rights you have where you live. If you are not a consumer, disputes go to the state and federal courts in California. If you are a consumer, you keep any right you have by law to use the courts where you live.
